Shabby chic statement earrings with vintage teacup shards
Porcelain shard and polymer clay earrings on hypoallergenic titanium hooks.
These unique earrings feature shards from a vintage teacup that I have backed with polymer clay to cover the sharp edges. The porcelain has a floral pattern of pink and maroon flowers on a white background. I have embedded silver coloured copper wire into the polymer clay backing to enable me to link them together with co-ordinating glass beads. I have given the back of the shards a textured surface and a shabby chic sepia colour wash to highlight the detail.
These fun statement earrings 8.3cm long including the shepherd's hooks. I have used titanium for the ear-wires as it is hypo-allergenic.
